Cool!

I'm having so much fun with my camera. It's been raining off and on today, and it wasn't until this evening that I decided to get some action shots of the rain. It was coming down pretty good and I thought the pictures would come out cool. And I was right! Here are some more I took...

Rain, Rain...

Rain, you can stay. We need you. The cracks in our dirt are so deep. Our flowers need watering. And our weeds...well, they'd still thrive even if you didn't come around. So, hang out, stay a while, but don't mess up my 'do.

Catching Up!

Okay, have fun reading and looking at pictures! I posted some pictures of this past week while I was away. Scroll down because I wrote a couple of posts.

Kisses

Emily loves giving kisses. Phones get kisses. Sudoku books get kisses. Even Nana's feet get kisses.

This picture is my favorite.

Cool Tunnel

Grandma and Grandpa Hill had a cool tent in their livingroom with this neat tunnel that attached to it. Emily thought it was pretty neat. I even tried the tunnel out for size. I'm too big. Go figure.

Watermelon and Avacados

Last Sunday we ate dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Hill's house. Emily tried watermelon for the first time. She didn't like it, but I think that was because the melon was a little old.
She ate avacado. She'd had it before, but I guess she forgot that she liked it.

Just Wanted to Share...

It was the cutest thing! The very first thing this morning... I take that back. The very first thing after the very last early-morning-before-it-got-light-out feeding session, after waking up for the third time since midnight, Emily kissed me. I had just finished nursing her (I was hoping to catch a few more Zs) and she sat up and kissed my cheek. I know it was a kiss because she made the "Mmmm-aaaah" sound with her mouth open on my cheek. How sweet is that?

We Went to the Park Today

I think she liked the park because it tasted good.

Mustachio Man

Rob shaved his scruff the other day and left a mustache and soul patch. He did it as a joke and I told him he couldn't shave them off until I took a picture (for the blog, of course). He shaved the scruff on Monday and today is Wednesday and I just took the picture today. He had to go to work for two days with his facial hair. He endured teasing from his co-workers just for me. What a guy.

Don't Leave Me...Ever.

When I look at this picture, I get a little sad. She's doing things on her own and she's not the little immobile lump she used to be.

But then I get happy when I see her big thighs. They are chunky and they are delicious.

11 Months

-Emily gives kisses. Especially to her dolls. Sometimes to Mommy and Daddy.
-She points and says something that sounds like, "Wassat?" But I'm sure she's not already asking...is she?
-When I ask her where my nose is, she points to it and then claps. She does this when I ask her where my eyes are, too. So cute.
-She finally has six teeth; four on top and two on bottom.
-She weighs 19.5 pounds and is 28 inches tall.
-It's getting more and more difficult to photograph her with the stuffed kitty cat.

Kelly's #1 Son

He is sweet. He is two. He is a big brother. And he is a big helper. Last night at the family get-together he was "cleaning up" after the grown-ups while the grown-ups watched. Kelly was feeding Caiden, for the umpteenth time, and Travis was talking to Rob in the livingroom and the rest of us were being entertained by a very determined two year-old. It was sweet. It was funny. And it was messy. Michael and I were reminded of our days of making Talatta*. Instead of stopping him, I grabbed my camera and began taking pictures. It is my duty.

*Recipe for Talatta:
1 Sink full of cold, dirty dishwater
1 or more dining table chairs, pushed up to sink
1 or more kids to mix and stir dishwater
Before making Talatta, wash a buttload of dishes, making the water extra greasy and extra chunky. Add chairs and kids and sprinkle with love and fun.
Makes: Minutes and/or hours of fun!
We missed Aaron, Tammie, and the boys last night. Hope you are all feeling better!

Another Nature Photo

...from the back yard.

See our pretty weeds? And our dead grass?
See my crying daughter? "Momma! Come baaaack! Don't leave me, come back!"
