Emily has figured out that she can move towards something without rolling to it! She started getting up on all fours over the weekend and I figured that she'd start crawling by the end of this week. Well, she's not actually crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees and starts rocking and then she'll launch herself forward. She doesn't get very far, but it's progress! She's also started creeping. It's really neat seeing her learn new things!
Yesterday I took my Webelos on a hike at the Fort Worth Nature Center. We had a good time hiking on the trails and seeing various animals in their natural habitat. We saw a racoon, several birds, prairie dogs, and "signs" of bison. Emily loved the hike. She actually fell asleep for a short time. I guess she was comfy in the carrier and the walk was soothing. She enjoyed looking at the trees and watching the boys goof off.
I caught her talking to the Emily doll. I propped her up in her crib and she seemed to think that was pretty neat. Spitup and drool! Momma Time is fun time!
We didn't do much for the Labor Day Weekend. But, we were able to see River, Renee, and Nicole on Sunday. We had them over along with Grandma and Grandpa Hill. We ate and visited and had a good time. On Monday, Rob, Emily, and I went car shopping. We're looking for a bigger vehicle. We won't be buying one anytime soon, but we're just looking for now.
How can someone so cute be such a cranky butt? Arrgh! I love the last photo. When I took the picture I thought she was smiling. She was smiling just before and just after I took it. Silly girl.
We went outside yesterday and took some pictures. Emily likes it outside. She is getting so big! We added pears to her cereal and she LOVES it. I couldn't feed it to her fast enough. This kid loves to eat.
We started giving Emily cereal on Sunday. She LOVES it! We couldn't feed her fast enough. Rob says she's probably used to how the bottle gives her as much as she wants when she wants it and she gets frustrated when she only gets a spoonful at a time.
She had her 4 month well visit today and got her shots. She cried, poor thing. She is 14 pounds and is 25 inches long.
